less than $30

La Bastide offers classic French cuisine with a contemporary flair. You will do a Tour de France enjoying such delicacies as our famous moules marineieres, salmon papillotes, coq au vin, duck confit, crème brulee, or crepes suzettes prepared by our well known chef de cuisine Patrick Ponsaty. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail at the bar. The atmosphere is very relaxing and casual, no dress code enforced.

"I am looking forward to welcoming you at my restaurant." – Gilles Fougeres, Owner.

Neighborhood gem, traditional French bistro reasonably priced

This delightful bistro combines a casual atmosphere with excellent French cuisine and reasonable prices. The tapas style small bites menu is a great way to sample several traditional French dishes. My dinner group of five enjoyed the warm hospitality of the owner, Gilles Fougeres, his terrific staff and the cozy setting. We enjoyed a variety tapas prepared by Chef Barry Coalson. Check out his cooking videos done with wife Gillian at their website "Food Done Right".

I recommend the Ferrari Carano fume blanc, the warm goat cheese crouton, a 5oz. New York beef tapas, the seared fresh scallops (best item on the menu), onion soup au gratin and for desert the vanilla lavender crème brulée.
